Global Week of Action for Climate Justice

Supplement for the Action Toolkit
We designed this toolkit supplement so that you can easily understand what’s happening around the world on the Global Week of Action and why it is important for us to support it from Europe.
Press release template
As the Global Week of Action unfolds, it is important that we have a consistent communication that shows the strength of our actions globally.
Please use this press release template to write your press releases – it is completely editable and the more local relevance you can put into it the better it’s going to be!
Fact-sheet
This document was produced by campaigners at the Global Campaign to Demand Climate Justice, and it contains very useful information and strong arguments for taking action, information you won’t necessarily hear from Northern media or reports, as this is the work of people working with communities already affected by climate change. Download the fact-sheet here.
We also have French and Spanish texts in this document!

Flyer
This flyer summarises all the facts and reasons why actions are important during the Global Week of Action, please share it with your contacts and networks, it is really important that it gets out to a wide audience!
Blogging Kit
Nick has put together a toolkit for bloggers. This has all the facts and info you need to write about the campaign and spread the word on blogs!
Download the Blogging Kit now!
If you have any questions or need more help on blogging and social media, feel free to contact Nick on nick@pusheurope.eu

Unblock Our Future – Action Toolkit
We designed this action toolkit to help you through this autumn’s actions! Check out the timeline, there are several points where you can get involved – like the photo action until the 25th October, the global week of actions for climate justice between 12-18 November, and actions during the UN climate talks.
Download the Action Toolkit now, and choose what you want to do :)
WE ARE LOOKING FOR TRANSLATORS! In order to be able to spread the toolkit widely in Europe we would like to translate it to as many languages as possible! You don’t have to be a professional translator or anything, we want people to understand our message and our campaign.. So if you think you can help us by translating the Toolkit to your language, please email us onĀ action@pusheurope.eu and we can send you a Word version so that you can edit the text!
Donald Tusk mask
With our ultimate Donald Mask you will be able to actually ‘be Donald’ and use this prop for your actions and street theatre shows.
You can download the mask by clicking here and hitting ‘Save link as..’ (or you can just click on the image itself above and save it to your computer with the ‘right click, save as’ combo).
In the action toolkit above there are some useful tips what you should consider when organising an action – and you can always get in touch with us if you have a question on action@pusheurope.eu or you can talk directly to one of the coordinators in your region! (see list above)
Demonstration Flyer – London
Lucy and many others are busy organising an action outside the Polish Embassy in London. There is going to be a bunch of useful materials, including this flyer which could give you an idea how to structure your flyer or leaflet for your event!
It’s easy to pull together a leaflet like this, Lucy used the simple program ‘Paint’ to make this one :)
More Unblock resources soon :)

In Europe we organised actions for the International Stop the Tar Sands day of action, and many people around the world took action on the 5th May 2012 against the dirtiest fossil fuel.
We called our action Stop Pushing Tar Sands, and here you can find all resources we produced.
Action Toolkit
Here is the toolkit for the tar sands day of action on the 5th May!
Inside you can find out more about the issue, and you will find some ideas and tips for actions. We have also included all the links you will need, and the communications timeline!
Here we go, in 3 different resolutions:
Press Release Template
We wrote a template press release that you can use for informing the media in your country.
Feel free to contact us if you have any questions about it, email marcodeli@gmail.com or loreleilimousin@hotmail.fr
Editable Flyer
Our very own Antonin designed this really cool flyer which can be used and built upon freely! It can be either good for promoting your action in the coming days or to inform the general public during the action.
You can either print it out as it is, in which case download the PDF version in English, or you can translate it to your own language using either the Word or Apple Pages version.
Facebook Cover Images
Make your profile part of the push against tar sands!
These cover images help to make the action visible for everyone online, and it’s a great stuff that anyone can do, whether you take action or you just follow the campaign online.
To make it your cover image, save the image to your computer, then log in to Facebook and click on ‘Change Cover’ as you hover over your cover image.
